Choices, choices what is one to do?

Did you ever have to make up your mind . . . and pick up on one and leave the other behind. It's not often easy and not often kind, did you ever have to make up your mind? The Lovin' Spoonful

You can now shop right here for two fine Swiss-American watches; Bulova and Wittnauer. Both companies were founded by immigrants to America in the late 1800's. Albert Wittnauer was Swiss, Joseph Bulova Czech; both manufactured watches in Switzerland importing them to their new home. In 2001 The Bulova Corporation purchased the Wittnauer Watch Company, a natural fit of famous brands each with a century of historical firsts.

Bulova perfected the standardization of watch parts, crafted Charles Lindbergh's Lone Eagle watch, made the first clock radio, created instruments to time track events, first wrist alarm watch, first quartz clock (Accuquartz), first public clock regulated by satellite time signals (Bulova Satellite Clock), most accurate watch in 1960 - used micro tuning fork humming at 360 cycles a second - the Bulova Accutron.

Wittnauer was the favorite watch of navigators, astronomers, geographers and explorers. First waterproof, shock-proof and anti-magnetic watch (All-Proof), helped Commander Richard E. Byrd navigate his flight over the North Pole.

We've all seen it before . . . two companies merge and, shortly thereafter, their products became identical on the inside yet different on the outside for marketing purposes.

The integrity of each brand, Bulova and Wittnauer, is retained intact. You will find a Wittnauer movement in a Wittnauer case, a Bulova movement in a Bulova case.

Then you bet you better finally decide and say yes to one and let the other one ride. It's not often easy and not often kind, did you ever have to make up your mind?

Well then, what to do? Why not select one of each? Problem solved!
